Challenging Environment for PINK Vakuumtechnik

Wertheim, 12th December 2025. – PINK GmbH Vakuumtechnik held its annual general meeting on Friday, December 12, 2025, at its Reinhardshof site. In his opening remarks, Volker Heidinger (Managing Director Technology) thanked the employees for their high level of motivation and flexibility during the nearly completed financial year. He went on to explain that, as already announced in the 2024 outlook, the company’s economic situation had deteriorated over the course of the year.

“Mirroring developments across the entire semiconductor market, we too are seeing a significant decline in orders from this sector due to adverse political influences from China and the United States. After a decade of continuous capacity expansion, we unfortunately now have to take countermeasures. Since October, we have implemented short-time work in certain areas and will initially have to continue this measure into the coming year,” said Heidinger. He announced further cost-cutting measures and process optimizations, but also forecast a revival of business as early as the final quarter of 2026.

Christian Faulhammer (Managing Director Sales) then shed light on the crisis in the semiconductor sector, which over the course of the year had led to a dramatic erosion of what had initially been a strong order backlog. Faulhammer stated: “We will respond to this drop in sales by developing new market segments on the one hand and by refocusing more strongly on our space and satellite technology business on the other.” He explained that PINK Vakuumtechnik enjoys an excellent reputation among customers both for quality and processing speed, and he appealed to the workforce to continue improving this level through strong commitment.

Andrea Pink then reported that in 2025, via PINK Familienholding GmbH & Co. KG, she had acquired 100 percent of the shares in PINK GmbH Vakuumtechnik, and that plans are in place to bring the two companies—PINK GmbH Vakuumtechnik and PINK GmbH Thermosysteme—into closer alignment in the future. Andrea Pink commented: “Our strengths are our high degree of vertical integration, uncompromising quality, and specialization in complex high-vacuum applications. Combined with the strategic and operational measures planned for the coming year, these areas of expertise should help us improve our international footprint and further develop our business abroad in particular.”

Before moderating the awards for long-standing service, Commercial Managing Director Hubert L. Günther explained that despite the negative business development in 2025, a positive result can still be achieved and that no layoffs are currently planned. Hubert L. Günther said: “I thank the entire workforce for their great commitment in these challenging times and am pleased to be able to honor a total of 445 years of company service today.”
